Meet the team

School Adventures was created by husband-and-wife team Amelia and Andrew Wright, building on many years of experience through ‘The Oxford Boat Adventure’ and a shared belief in the difference that great outdoor experiences can make to young people.

Between them, Amelia and Andrew bring more than 30 years of professional experience in coaching, training and working with young people. But School Adventures is also something very personal to them. As parents themselves, they believe strongly that young people need opportunities to step away from the everyday, experience real adventure and discover what they are capable of.

At the heart of their approach is a simple belief: young people should have the freedom and space to explore, take on challenges, make decisions, work things out together and, importantly, have fun.

Queenford Farm in Oxfordshire provides a wonderful setting in which to do exactly that, with private lakes, woodland and open space creating an environment where pupils can experience adventure safely and as School Adventures has grown, that same philosophy has travelled with Amelia, Andrew and their team on expeditions and residential experiences further afield.

For Amelia and Andrew, it has never been simply about delivering activities. It is about creating experiences that young people remember, learn from and grow through — led by people who combine genuine outdoor expertise with encouragement, patience and kindness.
